WELCOME TO NADICO UFONDU YOUTH EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION

WE ARE HELPING HANDS

Nadico Ufondu Youth Empowerment Foundation (NUYEF) as a Non-Governmental Organization is a team of God-fearing young men and women with the passion to create impact, willing to spend and be spent for the cause of humanity especially the less privileged.

While in the University I had the passion and compassion towards helping the needy/less privileged that I come across and that moved me as a student to help a Diploma student back then in school to pay Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000) for her GCE WAEC fees in 2006 & also when I became the Campus Fellowship (NIFES) President in 2007, I made the Fellowship to pay the Forty Thousand Naira (N40,000) school fees and registration fees of a student who got admission but had no such money to secure the admission for her studies.

HISTORY

2007

NUYEF was divinely conceived in a vision on 21st July 2007 through the voice of God, while I was meditating after a NIFES Brother’s Forum program.

2012

Five years after, the word of God came through. I took the step of faith and first did a social media launch on 9th of August 2012 via Facebook.

2019

And then again God spoke to me on 1st August 2019 that it is time to start helping many hopeless issues already on ground with the kick-off of the NGO properly and officially. This came to being on 9th November 2019.

All these and many more were what God saw in me, so while I was meditating after a NIFES Brother’s Forum program, God spoke to me to write down about setting up an NGO in the future. So I wrote down the name, vision & mission of this Foundation (NUYEF).

And then, for the first time on Facebook on 9th of August 2012 the NGO was set up but could not really succeed because the time had not yet come. Then again God spoke to me on the 1st of August 2019 that it is now time to start helping many hopeless issues already on ground with the kick-off of the NGO properly and officially with this Inaugural seminar and Guest Speakers on 9th November 2019.

So today, the word of God has become flesh once again and is here among us.

The NGO is officially registered with the CAC and Inaugurated as God said it should be. May His name alone be praised and glorified forever and ever! Amen!!!

VISION

The vision of NUYEF is to, in a few years, empower the youths with great opportunities & sources of income for profitable living, affording them the freedom, independence and a better lifestyle they desire/deserve. This in turn, God willing, leads to reduced rate of unemployment & poverty in the society.

MISSION

As a non-profit organization with primary focus on youths and children, we seek to provide them with academic scholarships/sponsorships, training on Information Technology, various skill acquisition programmes, intellectual capacity building,lucrative businesses/job opportunities, Christian& spiritual guidance amongst others. These will meaningfully & gainfully engage/impart them and in return, guarantee a better future.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To empower millions of children & youths with useful opportunities & means of livelihood for profitable living, thereby affording them freedom & better lifestyle they desire and deserve.
To significantly decrease the rate & number of unemployment, joblessness & poverty through various profitable means.
To provide them with academic sponsorships, support & scholarships.
To provide them with several skill acquisition trainings, intellectual capacity building, Information Technology trainings and business support funds with gainful impact and promise of a better future.
To offer Christian & spiritual empowerment through discipleship training, intensive bible study, mentorship and counselling in line with the word of God.

OUR BELIEF

NUYEF believes that the children and youths represent “a window of opportunity towards a better & greater nation that is free from unemployment, poverty and hunger – the prevailing root causes of increased crimes & other social vices”. The best way to impart them, therefore, is through various positive and enriching means.
